We are Scotland's leading voluntary sector adult education organisation.
Supporting individuals and communities in Scotland
At WEA Scotland our purpose is to bring adult learning within reach of those who need help and support the most.
We want to improve the life chances of those who are disadvantaged by giving them local access to high quality learning.
Founded in 1903, the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) is a charity dedicated to bringing high-quality, professional education into the heart of communities. With the support of nearly 3,000 volunteers, 2,000 tutors and over 10,000 members across the UK, we deliver friendly, accessible and enjoyable courses for adults from all walks of life.
WEA Scotland supports business growth by offering companies training opportunities. WEA delivers Employability Fund training courses for unemployed people and STUC funded "in work" training courses for employees who are union members. People benefit from training and personal development support which greatly enhances their prospects of job retention.
