Active Steps is run in partnership with The Health Agency in Westerhailes and aims to support people living in South West Edinburgh to become more physically active & maintain a healthy diet in the long term. We will help you to make small changes in your everyday routines that will set you on track for a healthier lifestyle.
Walking Groups:
Springwell Striders...
- Where: Meet at Tynecastle Community wing
- When: Every Tuesday
- Time: 1:00pm - 2:30pm
- Who: predominantly over 60's but all welcome
- Cost: Free
This very popular group is a great way to get some exercise and make new friends. Walks are based around Edinburgh and you’ll learn some fantastic routes to help you make the most of our beautiful city. We welcome walkers of all abilities.
Wester Hailes Walking Group...
- Where: The Health Agency, Wester Hailes Healthy Living Centre
- When: Every Thursday
- Time: 10:30am - 11:30am
- Cost: Free
The groups are very social and always finish with a coffee and a chat (optional).
These very popular groups are a fantastic way of getting to know the best walks around Edinburgh. They will also help to improve your fitness levels and to make new friends. Walking groups are very popular with the over 60's.
