information SERVICE DETAILS

Our new “Affinity” Service, aims to support autistic people and their families during Covid-19 and beyond.

We are working with a number of professionals and practitioners who can provide free, personalised support online to address specific challenges, worries or concerns.

We can offer support with the following:

- Assisted decision making; we will work alongside you to set goals that are meaningful to you and how to take action to achieve these goals.
- To manage stress or problem solve; we will work with you to empower you to make the changes that are important to you.

It is important that we make sure this service can meet your needs and that we match you to the right person to support you.

IS THIS SERVICE FOR YOU?

- Affinity may not be the service for you. If that is the case we will try our best to route you to more appropriate support.
- Unfortunately we are unable to provide services to individuals who are currently undergoing therapy with another service provider on a regular basis.
- We are asking everyone who accesses this service to take part in an evaluation. This will require you to complete a questionnaire before your support sessions commence and when they are finished. We need this feedback to ensure Affinity has a positive impact and to enable us to seek ongoing funding to be able to continue the service. For more information about Scottish Autism’s privacy policy click here
- To access this service you must be aged 18 years and over and resident in Scotland.
- Affinity is a confidential service. All staff who work with us receive professional supervision and have a basic DBS/PVG.
