Currently we have one group which meets in the Prestonfield area of Edinburgh (EH16).
There is free on-street parking and a good selection of bus routes which stop outside the venue.
Everyone is welcome, whether it is a recent bereavement or a loss which happened in the past.
We offer an informal and friendly group with some refreshments and a general talk about bereavement and grief and how it can affect us in different ways.
Each month we try to focus on a particular aspect of grief, but we also allow the conversation to go where people need it to at that particular time.
We hope that people coming to the session might meet others who are experiencing similar thoughts and feelings. Working with bereaved families has shown us that spending time with others who understand the emotions around grief can be a great support.
People are given the opportunity to share a little about their story as talking about your loved one is an important part of grieving. Having said that, there will be no pressure whatsoever to talk – it is entirely voluntary.
We also have a quiet space where people can chat 1:1 if that is their preference.
You can attend as many or as few sessions as you would like.
There is no cost to attend, and we will always be happy to see a familiar face!
