Funded by the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund, the Communities for Conservation project aims at inspiring minority communities to reduce their carbon footprint.

We run 5 community gardens where you and come and learn how to grow your own food

- Royal Botanic Garden Saturdays between 2:00pm - 4:30pm. The focus is on informal learning and sharing of skills, knowledge and experience in growing your own food and preparing/cooking that food.

- Wester Hailes Community Garden near the Whale Arts Agency, every Saturday from 11:00am - 1:00pm.

- Community Garden at Milton Road Edinburgh College on Mondays from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

- Drumbrae Community Garden with the Rannoch Community Centre every Friday morning from 9:15am to 11:15am. Lead contact is Jean-Matthieu Gaunand and Rhona Donaldson.
