Are you looking for help with managing money?

We all need a helping hand sometimes. Many people have a hidden cry for “freedom from debt and hope for the future”. One in eight households in the UK are struggling with debt and, with the cost of living rising, this crisis is worsening, affecting both health and relationships. Those with money problems often feel alone, ashamed, and totally trapped.

We are offering help to anyone who needs to get in control of their money and their debts, through our partnership with Community Money Advice (CMA).

Freedom from debt; we can help you

We know all about debt and what impact it has: it can feel like being in a prison where you see no way out. It can make you feel afraid, ashamed, guilty, angry. We know it can make every part of your life hard and stressful; make you feel you can’t face another day.

However, there is a way out and our advisers can help you to get free. They help thousands of others across the UK every year to not only get out of debt but teach them how to remain debt free in the future. Our services are always:

- Free and face to face with a real person
- Confidential, sympathetic, and you’ll never be judged

Our advisers will

- Take over dealing with your creditors
- Help you manage your household budget
- Work with you for as long as you need help

The process

- Once you get in touch with us using the form at the bottom of this page, we will arrange for an initial face to face meeting with you.
- A friendly Money Mentor will take time to hear your story to understand your concerns.
You and your Money Mentor will look at essential information about your income and expenses to discuss some options you may have.
- With your agreement, the Money Mentor will discuss your situation with a qualified debt advisor from CMA Hub, who will create a plan for you.
- Together, you and your Money Mentor will work through the plan.
- We will keep working with you from that first appointment, right through until everything is sorted, no matter how long it takes.

Opening Hours - By appointment

Fill in the form at https://www.kingschurchedinburgh.org/whats-on/debt-advice to get in touch directly with our Money Mentor team, who will arrange an initial meeting.
