Directory of local groups/projects who are offering specific support during the current COVID-19 pandemic »

In line with Government advice, most groups and organisations in the city have had to take the unfortunate decision to suspend face to face and group work activities. Please telephone or email the contacts listed for the group or organisation if you are interested in their work to check what alternative arrangements might be available or to find out about alternative groups or services in your area.

Description

We’re a community in Edinburgh that loves Jesus and wants to share His love with our city. We want to be like Him: welcoming, caring, generous, passionate, and fun.

You can start to find out what this looks like here, but you’ll get to know us best by visiting on a Sunday or contacting us...

In 2002, a dozen or so people from across the country moved to Edinburgh to start a new church, hoping to contribute to all that God is doing in this great city. Since that time, hundreds of people have become part of our community, discovering and enjoying the love of Jesus.

We’re committed to building a church that shows Edinburgh and everywhere God’s goodness. Our values are shaped by what we believe the Bible teaches; this sets our agenda along with God speaking to us by His Holy Spirit.

We are part of an international family of churches called New Ground, part of Newfrontiers.

Social Action...

We're increasingly involved in helping people in need in Edinburgh and beyond:

- Every month we collect food and toiletries for the Bruntsfield Basics Bank, which helps local families in desperate need.
- Our Elderly Befriending Service is a new initiative to give friendship and support to elderly people in our area. We are currently working with local organisations to establish how we can help, and training volunteers to take part.
- We support other organisations doing good in our city, such as Bethany Christian Trust, Street Pastors and Edinburgh City Mission.
- Through our relationship with New Ground we help churches in other countries, including Romania, Italy, France, and the Netherlands.
