The project offers older adults the opportunity to get out of the house and meet others and make friends. The group offers support, friendship, a variety of social activities and a hot lunch.
Prestonfield Neighbourhood Worker's Project is a registered day care service for people who are 60 years or over. The project offers older, frail adults the opportunity to socialise and to have fun through a variety of activities held each day.
Groups:
Monday: Lunch Club - lunch and social activity.
Wednesday: Art Club - lunch, art and social activity.
Friday: Men's Group / Women's Group - lunch and social activity.
Activities...
Include - quizzes, board games, music & movement, music & singing, guest speakers, reminiscence etc. Day trips and special events are also arranged throughout the year.
Food...
Hot lunch and tea/coffee and biscuits are served throughout the day.
Transport...
Transport may be available on some of these days. Alternatively, you can make your own way to us or travel with your carer.
