An exciting new programme supporting job placements for young people
How the scheme works
The Kickstart Scheme is designed to support new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. The job placements will support the participants to develop the skills and experience they need to find work after completing the scheme.
In order to participate in the scheme employers need to create or have new jobs available for at least six months
Understanding Social Enterprise
This scheme creates a unique opportunity to demonstrate and to participate in the wide range of exciting and rewarding jobs and activities that Social Enterprises across the country offer.
It’s a great chance for young people to understand the many different types of work within the sector. It offers a chance to experience and understand more about Social Enterprise its social impact and the unique contribution the sector makes to society.
Edinburgh Social Enterprise are assisting and supporting our members who are participating in the scheme by coordinating support across organisations and posting jobs or vacancies.
Find out more about the scheme, please see https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/kickstart-scheme.
