Men's Shed

The FBMS purpose is to provide recreational facilities & advance the social needs, health & well-being of men living in the Queensferry & Kirkliston areas.

The Shed provides the opportunity to meet new people, share existing skills and interests, learn new skills, help the community and much more.

The Shed offers opportunities for men to meet and undertake creative, physical, purposeful and recreational activities of their choice.

The huge benefit we are finding with our Shed is in assisting with men’s mental health issues. In a short time this has helped to reduce social isolation and loneliness and helped them to reconnect with the community.

The Shed is well regarded in the local community.

Men’s Sheds are vibrant community spaces bringing people together to take part in practical activities, learn new skills or simply have a laugh and a cup of tea.

We Are A Community Group...

Part of our "raison d'etre" is in representing the Scottish Men's Shed Association at a local level, providing facilities intended to nurture good mental health and well-being amongst men of all ages, currently mostly Senior Citizens with a smattering of younger men to keep us in check.

Our activities include woodwork, cooking, providing services to local causes such as cemetery bench refurbishment in South Queensferry, building mud kitchens at Echline primary school, and other good causes.

We have many ideas for future activity with a wealth of varied experience amongst our membership, we just need to make it happen!
