Messy Church is for everyone! We share a celebration time (storytelling and music), messy craft and games time, and we finish with dinner. All ages are welcome though young children should be accompanied by an adult. This is all-age worship that everyone is invited to take part in. We have a Messy Church allotment at the side of the church and we decorate many bulletin board spaces in the church with messy art work. Our MC has been running since 2009. We were the second Messy Church in all of Scotland, founded by Reuben and Rosie Addis, alongside our minister, Stewart.
Our MC is now tripleted with an MC in Eugene, Oregon, USA at Trinity UMC and with an MC in Westville, South Africa at St Elizabeth’s Anglican Church just outside of Durban.
Our Messy Church welcomes between 30-60 people each month. Some months are busier than others, but every Messy Church is full of energy and joy, whether it is a quiet or a busy month. You are all welcome to join us and see for yourself!
Typical Schedule
- Soft start with teas and coffees allows for flexible arrival time.
- Celebration (story, song, prayer)
- Arts and Crafts
- Dinner
- Minute to Win It
Where: Main Hall
When: 3:30pm - 6:00pm, last Saturday of every month (except for December when we meet on the third Saturday of December).
