information SERVICE DETAILS

More Than Food is everything we do that isn’t food.

This includes providing toiletries and household cleaning products, signposting people to other agencies, providing in-kind drop in sessions at the foodbank centres and operating our Money Advice and Mental Health Project.

Research carried out by Edinburgh Food Project in 2018 confirmed foodbanks could play a pivotal role in helping clients tackle the underlying causes of their food poverty by providing access to expert advice and support services. Demand for benefits advice and mental health support was identified, along with help with utility bills, debt, housing and employment.
