Parent & Toddler Group

There has been a steady increase in the number of babies born in the Edinburgh Jewish community, and the Parent and Toddler group has been set up to cater for this section of our community.

This fun group meets mainly on holidays, but has the flexibility of meeting on Sundays, during Cheder time, for a morning in the Community Centre, where the mums / dads and children (under the age of 5) can meet in a Jewish setting. The children can play with toys, and also through books, songs and games learn a little about Jewish festivals and celebrations. Snacks are provided for both the children and parents. The group also provides a forum for young parents to find out about other social events in the Edinburgh Jewish Community.

By taking part in the activities, parents are given an ideal opportunity to get to know the community and possibly take older children to Cheder and younger ones to the Parent and Toddler group, whilst mixing with all the other Jewish parents converging on the Shul for the purposes of their children.

All parents and children under 5 are welcome.
