The Cheyne Gang is a community singing group for people with the condition Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and other chronic lung disorders.
The group is led by a professional singing coach who is trained on breathing techniques and has years of experience running similar projects.
The sessions last approximately 2 hours, starting and ending with breathing exercises.
We enjoy lots of singing in between with a 15 minute break for tea/coffee and home making.
Singing offers physical, mental and social benefit and has been shown to improve breath control, reduce anxiety and improve sleep patterns.
We meet at 3:15pm - 4:15pm on alternate Mondays at the LifeCare Centre..
Sessions are FREE to attend.
For more information send us a message or just come along for a trial session you'd be most welcome.
