The Cheyne Gang is a community choir for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, bronchiectasis, pulmonary fibrosis or any other condition which makes you feel breathless.
It was set up by 3 practice nurses with a particular interest in the benefits that singing can have on breathlessness, and general physical and mental health.
We know that there have been measurable improvements on quality of life for the majority of our members.
Incidentally we noted a reduction in exacerbations (chest infections), a reduction in reliever inhaler use and a reduction in hospital admissions.
So if you are breathless, or know someone who would benefit from joining the Cheyne Gang, please contact us.
