Support Meetings
Support meetings are a safe space for you to meet and chat with other parents with shared experience. Our meetings are informal and discussions are facilitated by a trained Peer Supporter.
We recognise that just like every parent’s grief is different and unique to them, so is everyone’s journey after their loss. In recognition of this, we provide a range of support meetings to accommodate the individual needs of you and your family to ensure that you have the opportunity to meet and chat with other families who are at a similar stage in their journey.
Group meetings give you the opportunity to meet other families who have been through something similar and who will be able to relate to many of those complex feelings. We understand that the loss of your baby is unique to other losses and you may struggle to find others who understand how you feel.
If you are planning to come to your first meeting, please get in touch if you would like to come to the meeting a little earlier than the start time, if you think this would help.
Monthly Bereavement Support...
Our monthly meetings are open to anyone who is newly bereaved or longer ago in person. We are here to support you. You are welcome to join with a partner or friend, as we appreciate that joining your first meeting can be daunting. Our meetings are facilitated by a trained Peer Supporter and are relaxed and informal, allowing you the chance to chat or just listen and hopefully make new friends too. There is never any pressure for you to discuss your experience.
