SERVICE DETAILS
Portland Street is a residential home that provides high-quality support to up to 5 young people aged 13-21. We are based in a large 6-bedroom Georgian townhouse situated in the heart of Leith and typical placement length is between 1 and 2 years. We have a highly trained compassionate staff team and there are always 2 members of staff on including a night awake worker.
Portland Street Staff team, in partnership with residents, parents/carers and social workers to provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the personal and social development of our young people. The Care Inspectorate consistently assesses our services as providing high quality support to the young people we care for.
At Portland Street we focus on developing the social and emotional capabilities that empowers young people to navigate choices and challenges. Our objective is to do this by providing a safe supportive environment with the emphasis on building relationships which will carry on until adulthood. We pride ourselves on making sure the young people we support feel loved, safe and respected so they can realise their full potential.
We provide residential support to young people from across Scotland.
