Dean and Cauvin Young People’s Trust provides high quality residential care to young people aged 13-21 years, across two residential services at Portland Street and Cauvin House in Edinburgh.
The ethos of our residential units is about love and respect. Young people are encouraged and supported to develop their life skills, resilience and confidence to move towards independent living. Our residential services provide a nurturing environment that supports young people to feel loved, safe, respected and helps them to realise their full potential.
We have a highly trained and compassionate staff team. Our services are consistently assessed by the Care Inspectorate as providing very high quality, person-centred services.
Cauvin House is a residential service that provides high quality residential care to young mothers and their babies. Portland Street provides support to young people provides a safe place to support young people to develop their confidence and skills. All young people that have been in our care are also provided with a high-quality aftercare service.

Portland Street is a residential home that provides high-quality support to up to 5 young people aged 13-21. We are based in a large 6-bedroom Georgian townhouse situated in the heart of Leith and typical placement length is between 1 and 2 years. We have a highly trained compassionate staff team and there are always 2 members of staff on including a night awake worker.
