We can cater to all types of events and meeting room hire; whether it’s for board meetings, off site strategy days, workshops, symposiums or networking events.
Arts Workshop...
A large ‘making’ space, with a polished concrete floor, tables and messy wash-up sink area. Perfect for arts and craft workshops, group activities, dance, drama and children’s playgroups. The space can be blacked out for projection and presentations.

Capacity: 70 seated / 85 standing / 22 for seated workshop
Green Room...
A warm and welcoming space with comfortable seating, the Green Room has child-friendly bathrooms, shoe storage, baby changing facilities and wash-up space, perfect for use as a creche. Insulated and private, the Green Room also makes for an intimate meeting room for counselling or case work.

Performance Space...
The Performance Space encompasses a 6.5m x 6.8m wooden stage, with a open seating area (6.8m x 7.6m). With a lighting rig, sounds system and curtains, the stage can be used for performances, dance, drama and music. The open seating area is usually set up in a ‘canteen’ format, with tables and benches, but can easily be reconfigured to create a seated audience area. The Performance Space is also suitable for screenings, and can be set up to back project with our lightweight projection screen.
The Performance Space is connected to the kitchen so is also particularly suitable for events involving self catering or meals. Large double doors exit the Performance Space into the WHALE Community Garden, and can be set up to accommodate a marquee or outside eating events such as barbecues, if agreed in advance.
Maximum capacity = 40 seated, 60 standing

Our core opening hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. The building can also be open evenings and Saturdays on a case by case basis.
