Vintage Vibes is an award-winning, city-wide project delivered in partnership with LifeCare Edinburgh, tackling isolation and loneliness among over-60s (who we call VIPs). Vintage Vibes creates long lasting one-to-one friendships offering support, companionship and the opportunity for VIPs to be more socially connected and active in their local community.
Services for Vintage Vibes:
1-1 Friendships
We have a fantastic group of volunteers who we match up 1-1 with our VIPs based on their similar interests. Our matches normally meet weekly in person or over the phone and engage in a range of activities.
Are you feeling lonely?
Sometimes all it takes is a cup of tea and a blether to help when feeling lonely and isolated. So, if you’re over 60, living in Edinburgh, and would like some company, then we’re here to help.
Vocal Vibes
Our fantastic singing group, where you can meet new friends and rediscover music in a relaxed setting.
Vocal Vibes meet every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. No experience is needed to join, but we ask that you bring a £3 donation (first session free!). This includes refreshments.
Our brilliant singing group practice at the Greyfriars Charteris Centre, with a lovely view of the Salisbury Crags on the way in. We set up in the St Ninian’s Hall which is fully wheelchair accessible from the main entrance of the centre.
Vintage Vibes Film Group
The group meets fortnightly at a cinema on/near Lothian Road to watch a film (often at a reduced/subsidised price!) and have a cup of tea and a blether.
