At Caring in Craigmillar we are dedicated to promoting health, safety and social welfare.
Our team ensure that nobody is left isolated. We believe that it is important to improve the quality of life for older people, which is why we offer the services that we do.
Our ethos is to promote the health, social welfare and safety of our members, and to provide a stimulating service which encourages our members to achieve positive outcomes by recognising their individual needs.
The objective of Caring in Craigmillar Day Care is simple: to provide services that prevent isolation and improves the quality of life for vulnerable older people with complex care needs and those with a diagnosis of Dementia in the local community. We offer a comfortable, non-stigmatised centre for older people to enjoy stimulating activities and the company of others in order to meet their needs, enabling them to maintain skills and encouraging community integration. We provide a range of advice, information and recreational activities and opportunities including trips and outings, centre based programmes such as Arts, Music and a range of stimulating activities which improve older people's social and mental well being.
We aim to provide practical, informative and person centred support to members of the community and their families. By providing these services we aim to play an active role in assisting people to remain in their own home or in a community based service for as long as possible.
