The EVOC Red Book

The online directory to find third sector Organisations, and their services across Edinburgh

Only services that are currently available during COVID-19 are listed in the directory.

In line with Government advice, most groups and organisations in the city have had to take the unfortunate decision to suspend face to face and group work activities. Please telephone or email the contacts listed for the group or organisation if you are interested in their work to check what alternative arrangements might be available.

Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre was built on the original site of Moredun Primary School. It is situated in Moredun, with its area of benefit covering Fernieside and Moredun.

The new centre was established with the purpose of providing social, recreational and educational use. It comprises one level, which has 11 rooms of various sizes (reception area, office, crèche room, café/kitchen area, 3 meeting rooms, art room, youth room, computer suite and a large activity hall).

The centre's programme includes activities for all of the community (babies, toddlers, children, youth and adults).

During school holidays we provide a play scheme during the day, and youth clubs in the evening.

There are 4 staff based in the centre: a Community Learning & Development worker, Clerical Worker, Family Learning Worker and a Service Support Officer.

Children and Families Department, Priorities of Social Inclusions, Lifelong Learning and Active Citizenship is vital to the development of Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre.
