Keycomm

Keycomm help people with communication difficulties use technology to contribute to and control their environments. This type of technology is known as alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).

AAC can be defined as any method of communication that supplements the ordinary methods of speech and handwriting, where these are impaired.

There are different levels of communication technology within the field of AAC – low, medium and high tech. These are defined by the level of sophistication of the technology used, from simple books and boards to complex computer-based machines. However, most AAC users will actually employ a mixture of methods.

ASSESSMENT

You can refer someone to Keycomm for a complete communication technology assessment. This means filling out a short referral form and then one member of the Keycomm team will visit you/the user.
