The EVOC Red Book

The online directory to find third sector Organisations, and their services across Edinburgh

Only services that are currently available during COVID-19 are listed in the directory.

In line with Government advice, most groups and organisations in the city have had to take the unfortunate decision to suspend face to face and group work activities. Please telephone or email the contacts listed for the group or organisation if you are interested in their work to check what alternative arrangements might be available.

Age Scotland

The Age Scotland helpline is a free, confidential phone service for older people, their carers and families in Scotland. Our team provide information, friendship and advice.

Call us for advice about:

- Local services and opportunities
- Benefit entitlements
- Care rights
- Housing options and heating
- Legal issues such as Power of Attorney

We can also signpost or refer you to a specialist or local service which can help you, or an opportunity to get out and about locally. We also have a Community Connecting service which aims to help connect our callers with what is available locally.

Call our friendly team for a chat too; later life can bring times when you need someone to listen.

Our helpline is free to call and available Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Call us today on 0800 12 44 222.

Our helpline is receiving a record number of calls and our teams are working tirelessly to make sure we
can be a lifeline for those in urgent need of our help.
We're determined to be there for older people who need us today, tomorrow and in the weeks and months to come. But demand for our vital service is increasingly rapidly.
