The EVOC Red Book

The online directory to find third sector Organisations, and their services across Edinburgh

Directory of local groups/projects who are offering specific support during the current COVID-19 pandemic »

In line with Government advice, most groups and organisations in the city have had to take the unfortunate decision to suspend face to face and group work activities. Please telephone or email the contacts listed for the group or organisation if you are interested in their work to check what alternative arrangements might be available or to find out about alternative groups or services in your area.

If you wish to be considered, first you need to be registered with Edindex. You may then bid for up to 3 properties a week, once you have received your registration number.

Help and support can be provided for customers who need assistance with completing forms and bidding.

How to apply

You need to complete an EdIndex registration form which you can:

- Collect or request from our office (email:
- Download from EH Your Key to Choice:
- Collect from the City of Edinburgh Council or other participating housing association offices.

Applications are prioritised depending on housing need. Once your form is processed you can start to express interest in suitable properties.

Where to find properties

Available properties are advertised weekly though the Key to Choice website, in Monday's edition of the Evening News or in a free supplement available from any of the Edindex partner landlord offices.

Free copies of the properties supplement are also available at all Council local neighbourhood offices, housing association offices and libraries.
