If you wish to apply for Housing in Edinburgh you will need to complete an EdInex application form at http://keytochoice.scotsman.com. Alternatively, printed forms are available from Viewpoint Head Office or the City of Edinburgh Council.
Lister Housing Co-operative operate a Group plus Points System
This means that your application and housing needs are assessed using a single pointing structure. When a property becomes available for let we will contact you directly when you appear at the top of one of our shortlists. Offers of housing will depend on where you are placed on the shortlist, your needs, the type of property and area you have selected, and the availability of empty property for let.
Lister allocates its properties using a 'Group plus points' system and does not use the 'Key to Choice' bidding system. To be considered for housing at Lister you must wish to be rehoused in a flat (as we have no houses) and tick to be considered for the 'Tollcross/Fountainbridge' area, as that is where our small stock of flats is located. When a property comes vacant we shall short-list people from the EdIndex list and contact them direct.
We also receive nominations and Section 5 referrals from Edinburgh Council and they use the same EdIndex list.
We are also part of the following exchange scheme: www.houseexchange.org.uk
We have a very small supply of shared housing for single people and individuals. If you are interested, then you should contact the Lister office direct as we run our own list and have specific application forms.
