The EVOC Red Book

The online directory to find third sector Organisations, and their services across Edinburgh

Directory of local groups/projects who are offering specific support during the current COVID-19 pandemic »

In line with Government advice, most groups and organisations in the city have had to take the unfortunate decision to suspend face to face and group work activities. Please telephone or email the contacts listed for the group or organisation if you are interested in their work to check what alternative arrangements might be available or to find out about alternative groups or services in your area.

Blackadder Place Care Home is home for seven adults with physical disabilities. We’re in the north of Edinburgh and have local shops, restaurants, churches and a library to enjoy. We also have good transport links into central Edinburgh.

Is this the place for you?

This is a safe and friendly place to live, with high quality care. The team is dedicated and experienced and will make sure your needs are understood and met – all with the greatest privacy and respect.

The people you’ll meet, the things you’ll do…

Live here and you’ll be supported to be independent, healthy and active. There’s something for everyone and our great team of staff and volunteers run individual and group activities. So whatever your interests, from keeping fit to being creative, there’s always something to get involved in.

We pride ourselves on putting our residents first, supporting everybody to be independent and to take part in community activities as they wish.

Our residents ensure their home has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We encourage residents to live as independently as possible, and they tend to organise their own trips and activities with support from staff if required.

Our fully-trained staff are committed to ensuring that everybody is happy in their home.

Whatever your short or long-term aims, we’re here to support you and make sure your journey is as fun and successful as possible.
