The EVOC Red Book

The online directory to find third sector Organisations, and their services across Edinburgh

IMPORTANT

Directory of local groups/projects who are offering specific support during the current COVID-19 pandemic »

In line with Government advice, most groups and organisations in the city have had to take the unfortunate decision to suspend face to face and group work activities. Please telephone or email the contacts listed for the group or organisation if you are interested in their work to check what alternative arrangements might be available or to find out about alternative groups or services in your area.

Details
We meet twice a week on local bowling greens. Male and female Bowlers of any age (and ability !) are always given a warm welcome. We are a member of the Leith Churches Bowling Association. As well as taking part in the Association Leagues, we have our own Club Competitions and a Club Night. The games are played on the local council greens. We have a membership of 30, not all Church members, and we are always pleased to welcome new friends.

South Leith Parish Church Bowling is held on a Tuesday evening on Leith Leith Bowling Green, from April to September.

We have a membership of approximately 20 members and we enjoy playing our friendly competitions during the season.

We also play an annual match with Gorgie and Balerno Bowling Clubs.

We are always looking for new members, whatever ability, to come and join us.

Bowling is an enjoyable game, good exercise but not too strenuous, a skilled game, so challenging at times but above all, it is fun.
