Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a form of psychotherapy, which has been found to be an effective treatment for a wide range of disorders
CBT is problem-orientated dealing with the ‘here & now’.
CBT can be used for:
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Social phobia
- Eating disorders
- Panic disorder
“By changing the way we think, we can change our mood.” CBT helps you to recognise and challenge upsetting and unhelpful thoughts.
Clients are seen on a 1:1 basis by a cognitive therapy practitioner. The service is available to people 16 years & over. Service offered for 16 weeks.
Clients are assessed for suitability of this form of treatment.
