The Edinburgh Adult Education Programme provides a variety of day, evening and weekend courses as well as outdoor and online courses.

A wide range of community education classes are available at an affordable price.

Venue Based Courses...

Courses are at venues across the city, daytime, evening and weekends at venues including schools and community centres.

Outdoor Courses...

Across the city we have a variety of walks and talks courses as well as outdoor drawing and woodwork.

Online Courses...

Take part in courses from the convenience of your home or anywhere else. These courses are via Microsoft Teams!

Costs...

Concessionary fees available when proof of receiving the following benefits is shown: Council Tax Benefit, Council Tax Exemption, Housing Benefit, Incapacity Benefit , Income Support, JSA, Pension Credit, Working Tax Credit.

These qualifying benefits are subject to change.

Disability Living Allowance & 60+ (retired or working 10 hours per week or less) entitles you to reduced, but not, concessionary rates.

How do I enrol on a course?

Please register your details with us at https://adulteducationedinburgh.spydus.co.uk/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/MSGTRN/WPAC/JOIN prior to enrolling on a course. This is a requirement to enable you to be able to register.

Once registered please keep a note of your log in details for future use. Once you have registered your account you can enrol on our courses via the search option on our home page.

How can I get a brochure of courses?

Brochures will be available in libraries, community centres and other venues. Our full programme is also available online.

What does the fee for a course include?

The fee is normally made up of two elements – a booking fee and the joining fee. Some courses which require materials or additional services will have a high resource element included.

We welcome students of all abilities and experience.

If you are unable to book online, you can phone on 0131 556 7978 or pop into Southbridge Resource Centre in person.
