Circle’s Craigentinny & St Ninian’s Primary School Project supports marginalised families, with children attending Craigentinny and St Ninian’s Primary Schools, by providing a level and quality of support that improves children’s learning and development outcomes.
The project deliberately offers a tiered approach that adapts support to meet the needs of a family within one service and building on the universal school and community based resources, where possible.
All the support described has been impacted by Covid-19 and while the project continues to provide this support it is currently via phone, online and through ‘walk and talk’ sessions. The project has provided a range of Covid-19 crises led interventions such as food drops, community food referrals, energy top-ups, access to hardware/data to reduce digital barriers to education and arts, crafts & wellbeing packs.
