SERVICE DETAILS
We run four teams in the East of Scotland Cricket Association league, as well as fielding various friendly sides.
Our sides encompass a wide range of standards:
The 1st XI play a good standard of cricket in Division 1, the 2nd XI plays competitively in Division 6, and our 3rd XI and 4th XIs are set to contest in Division 7.
Our Sunday XI, Edinburgh South Mitres, play a brand of friendly social cricket involving novices, promising younger players coming through from our junior section and veterans, plus a few experienced hands whose role will be to guide and develop players.
In midweek we play in T20 cup competitions and members also have the opportunity to participate in games organised under the Last Man Stands eight-a-side format.
Men's outdoor training takes place on Wednesdays at Inch Park and starts at 6:00pm until 7:30pm
Nets take place at Inch Park on our artificial turf practice wickets. These pitches are not suitable for use with metal spikes so please bring trainers or rubber soled shoes.
Membership...
We strongly recommend anyone interested in playing for the club signs up to become a member. As a volunteer-led, not-for-profit community sports team, membership fees play a critical role in ensuring that we can continue to be an open and welcoming club who helps foster the sprit of cricket for those of all ages, genders, races and backgrounds.
Full membership - £155
Students - £125
Unemployed - £125
However, we understand that such a commitment isn't suitable for everyone for a number of reasons. Therefore we offer a pay-as-you-play non-members option to those who choose it.
Pay-as-you-play: £13 full / £10 student
Should a pay-as-you-play member end up playing so many fixtures that they have contributed in excess of their relevant membership fee, club membership will be granted as a gesture of goodwill.
