The Fairmilehead Scottish Country Dance Club has been meeting at the church halls for over 50 years.
Although traditional Scottish country dancing is more formal and not as "wild" as ceilidh dancing it’s still fun and a great form of exercise.
The present group meets for two hours each Tuesday evening between October and March and we usually practise 8 dances – reels, jigs and strathspeys – each night with full instructions given. We’re a very informal group and always happy to welcome new dancers who have some knowledge of basic steps and formations.
At only £3.50 per evening, we’re much cheaper than a gym!
