The EVOC Red Book

The online directory to find third sector Organisations, and their services across Edinburgh

Directory of local groups/projects who are offering specific support during the current COVID-19 pandemic »

In line with Government advice, most groups and organisations in the city have had to take the unfortunate decision to suspend face to face and group work activities. Please telephone or email the contacts listed for the group or organisation if you are interested in their work to check what alternative arrangements might be available or to find out about alternative groups or services in your area.

Spacious and vibrant, at Lennox House we offer the highest quality care and support to help you lead a fulfilling life. From chair exercises to movie nights, or a creative morning in the Craft Café, the choice is yours. Our team will ensure you feel right at home with us.

Nursing and Dementia Care
Providing first class nursing care, Lennox House is run by an experienced team. Committed to helping you live well and maintain your independence, our nursing and care team are available to support you round the clock. Whether assisting with personal care, managing long term conditions or dispensing medication, our shared values of compassion and kindness are at the centre of everything we do. We are always available to discuss any concerns you might have about your health and will always respect your wishes and preferences.

We always encourage visits from family and friends. Visitors are welcome at any time during the day or evening, subject to the care and rest needs of individual residents.

Resident and family/friends meetings are held to give you an opportunity to let us know how we are doing and to raise any concerns. Your contributions and suggestions are always welcome.

Activity is important to us all. Social activities and events are organised by our Activities Coordinators, who make sure a varied programme is in place to suit the interests of our residents. In a typical week these could include the gardening club, film nights, a visit to the theatre, reminiscence groups, live music performances or an afternoon in our Craft Cafe.

Examples of our summer outings; Ratho Barge, North Berwick for Fish and Chips, Pentland Plants for afternoon tea, Portobello for ice cream, Saughton Gardens for a look around the Rose Garden and many more.

The Craft Café
In 2013 we received funding to open our second Craft Café in Edinburgh. Run in partnership with Impact Arts, our Café is open 1 day a week, providing a fun, social and artistic environment. An inspiring place for those wishing to learn new skills, practice old ones or simply chat over a cup of tea, the Café welcomes all residents, friends and family.
