information SERVICE DETAILS

We are not currently open for new referrals at the moment. In the meantime, our Self Help Groups remain active and a good source of support from people who also have lived experience.

Peer support has become an integral part of the work Bipolar Scotland will do going forward. We believe that living with Bipolar makes you an expert in your own experiences. Our peer support workers, who all have lived experience, will chat to you and share experiences that will help you towards your personal recovery. Our 9 peer values which include hope, empowerment, empathy and aspiration will help you map out your goals. As peers we look forward to walking alongside you and learning together.

Peers who want to engage with the initiative will be assigned a Peer Support Worker who has experiences similar to their own. We offer four hours of support in total and how your time is used will be decided between you and your Peer Support Worker. You can speak with your Peer Support Worker via phone, email or video call. It is completely up to you.
