Small Institute of Polish Language POLONIUSZ operates at the Polish Cultural and Educational Association Adam Mickiewicz in Edinburgh. The school was established in May 2016.
From September 2016, we have used the rooms of the beautiful Craigentinny Community Centre in Edinburgh.
Classes in our school take place in three age groups: basic level (6-8 years), intermediate (8-10 years), advanced (10+).
Age is not the only criterion - teachers assess the level of students and direct them to the appropriate group for them.
In addition to classes in Polish, we also have history lessons, with an emphasis on Polish history and Catechetical and chess classes.
In our school, we focus not only on acquiring knowledge, but also on cultural and moral education, hence we celebrate Polish traditions by organizing, among others, Jasełka, POLONIADA, or Olympics of Knowledge about Poland for students learn in Polish schools throughout Scotland, Appeal on November 11, Family Picnic in May and many other events.
We want our students to come to Poland with joy, which is why we motivate them with various kinds of trips and organise the Children's Day every year.
