The EVOC Red Book

The online directory to find third sector Organisations, and their services across Edinburgh

IMPORTANT

Only services that are currently available during COVID-19 are listed in the directory.

In line with Government advice, most groups and organisations in the city have had to take the unfortunate decision to suspend face to face and group work activities. Please telephone or email the contacts listed for the group or organisation if you are interested in their work to check what alternative arrangements might be available.

Our specialist training ensures you have a good working knowledge of Scottish Child Law in action - essential understanding that helps you to achieve positive outcomes for your clients.

Why learn with us?

You will benefit from our expertise, combined with our direct involvement in representing children and young people caught up within the legal system and our specialist legal knowledge places us in a unique position to provide you with practical, informed, relevant training on the current application of the law.

What you can expect by attending

Our programme consists of 4 half-day sessions which together not only provide you with accurate up-to-date information and understanding but uniquely encourage you to participate in practice discussions, group discussions and consider real-life case scenarios. Our programme challenges you to reflect on practice, identify any practice issues and the need for any follow-on support.

Useful materials are provided for you to take away, which can include case studies, course reminders, process charts and sources of additional information if required. A Certificate of Attendance is provided on completion of our courses. We are registered with the Law Society of Scotland to provide authorised TCPD to trainee solicitors.

We encourage you to network with your fellow attendees and make sure there is plenty of complimentary tea and coffee.
