Keymoves is a 20 bedded city centre refuge for single women 18+ who have experienced domestic abuse.
It’s staffed 24 hours a day and access to the building is controlled. The service is staffed by a team of Practitioners who are supported by a Senior Practitioner and Service Manager. Everyone has their own keyworker who can offer support that helps people develop the skills and confidence they need to move on to a more secure and happy future in a home within a community.
The facility is made up of 6 shared flats and everyone has their own bedroom. There is a communal kitchen/living area in each flat. On the lower floors of the building you can access a large communal living area with TV, kitchen/dining area and laundry. There is also a garden area and courtyard.
At Keymoves we want to promote better health and wellbeing for all so our staff, volunteers and external organisations deliver groups and courses in the building or in nearby community centres with anything from gardening to yoga to trauma recovery groups. We also have visiting specialists who can offer housing and benefit advice and advocacy, life coaching and mentoring.
