Youth Café/drop-ins

Youth work activities with a local base to make contact with young people.

It provides a “safe place” for young people from around S1 age upwards to engage with each other, youth workers residents, the police etc. in positive ways.

We help build children & young people’s self-esteem and self-confidence?
We assist children and young people to develop their abilities to manage personal and social relationships?
We create/develop positive learning environments for children and young people to develop new skills?
We support children and young people to make positive contributions to their own and other people’s lives?

The Youth Café helps to give young people positive steps towards adulthood where they can build respect for each other and themselves. We always consult them on what activities they would like to do and so far we have had taster sessions in learning to DJ, tile art, badge making, jewellery making, hip hop dance, art canvassing, drumming and mosaic sculpting.

Suitable for ages S1 - S6. Simply come along and drop-in.

There are two youth café's in Edinburgh, located in Slateford and Oxgangs.
