Wellness at St Mungo’s is about being all that we are made to be, emotionally and spiritually. Through our Wellness Centre we offer a range of services and resources to the church and to the wider community.
As a key element of the Wellness Centre, Life & Soul offers counselling for adults as individuals.
We also provide counselling for couples and for children.
Lynn Millar is the Director of Counselling and our team of counsellors are all trained to National Standards.
Useful to know
Who? Anyone who needs help and support.
Where? The Wellness Centre at Woodcroft, 4 Bridge Road, Balerno, Edinburgh EH14 7AH.
When? Counselling works best over a 6- 8 week period of coming to see the counsellor once a week for 1 hour.
Why? Whatever the reason, we are happy to help.

We live in turbulent times, on the edge of uncertainty, and in these difficult times many of our relationships are being shattered by persistent stress. At Life & Soul we have a vision to strengthen families, empower individuals and help people become more resourceful in order to weather the storms of life. Our hope is that through counselling you will be helped to live a resilient life.
The counsellors in the Life & Soul counselling team are trained to national standards of counselling training. The counsellors either hold a minimum qualification of a COSCA validated Diploma in Counselling or are in the final stages of acquiring this qualification.
Counselling is funded by St Mungo’s church.
Counselling is free but donations in support of this service are appreciated.
