SERVICE DETAILS
The befriending/outreach service seeks to meet the needs of our members from South Asian communities. These include individuals who are housebound, frail, socially excluded, hospitalised, or recently discharged from hospital and those with lack of family or friend support.
Our outreach workers provide regular visits to keep the elderly connected within their communities.
Referrals are accepted from any member of the public who is concerned about any older person from South Asian communities.
We have in place a variation from the Care Inspectorate to deliver vital emergency work within our community of interest who require support as well as digital connectivity support to help get people online so they can keep connected within their communities by participating in our virtual activity and informative sessions.
