DESCRIPTION
Milan provides services for older Asian people from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Mauritius, living in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Milan means ‘rendezvous’ ‘friendly meeting place’ - the name was chosen by our founder members when we were established in 1991 as a Senior Welfare Council in conjunction with Pilmeny Development Project and Lothian Racial Equality Council. The word is common to the languages of all languages of all four of the communities we serve.
