Day care for older people who prefer to continue living in their own home but need some support during the day.
- Tuesday & Wednesday's are for frail older adults 65+.
- Thursdays are specifically for older people 65+ suffering from dementia and physical disabilities.

Age 65+ from Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani & Mauritian communities.
EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Various talks, workshops, and focus groups on health, social welfare, and housing (to name a few) are regularly carried out in order to ensure our service users’ concerns and feedback is heard. These educational activities are also carried out to enable our service users to gain valuable knowledge about every day mundane things. When any activity is carried out in English, a staff translator/interpreter is always on hand to help service users understand and converse.
Milan Senior Welfare understands the importance information has on individuals. Whilst our day-care provision is closed are delivering a wide range of virtual activities, to ensure we keep supporting our members through the work we do
RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
A predominant part of our day care service is to provide recreational activities. These include gentle exercise classes, yoga, dance, beauty treatments, massages, trips and outings, walks, gardening/planting, arts and crafts, quizzes, bingo, and group exercises to name a few. During the day care services Lunch (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) is also provided along with small refreshments.
We also take an active part in celebrating the major festivals of the four communities we serve so recreational activities surrounding these celebrations are also delivered.
TRANSPORT
We aim to provide transport to as many individuals as possible to attend the day care provision, especially reserved for those effected by disabilities or who can not use public transport.
COST
£7.50 - £10.00 (includes, transport, hot ethnic meal, activities)
REFERRRALS
We accept referrals through Health and Social Care, Milan website contact page/referral form, self referrals and sign posting from external organisations.
