**The class is fully subscribed at present and there is currently a waiting list for new members**
We meet for 2 hours (with coffee break) on Friday mornings.
Members range from widely published authors to beginners, who meet on an equal footing to do short writing exercises in response to prompts supplied by the tutor, suggested by members, or arising spontaneously from group discussion. Writers can then read out their work if they choose, and receive constructive feedback.
We will continue to use innovative starting points for new writing, offer constructive feedback on works in progress, and experiment with particular themes and styles over a number of weeks. There may also be opportunities to use various city locations and institutions for inspiration, and to read in public.
New members of any level of experience or confidence always welcome.
Cost: £2 plus centre membership.
We meet in room 2 at the community centre.
The Writing Room is run by Southside Community Centre.
