We know it can be difficult for children to sit through a whole worship service so we provide activities both for pre-school and primary age children to help them enjoy and participate in church.
At the back of the sanctuary there is an area for younger children with an accompanying adult equipped with a choice of activities such as paper and crayons, books and a variety of toys. These can be used at any time during the service if children are a bit restless. Please feel free to move about as necessary for the comfort of you and your children. There is a toilet at the rear of the Church accessed by the long corridor with the stars on the ceiling.
We provide a weekly Junior Church led by Jenny, Dawn and Claire in conjunction with the Minister Jack which takes place during our morning worship for children of all ages up to S1. Parents are welcome to join their children in the small hall for Junior Church or we are happy to look after them for you until you can collect them at the end of the service. All volunteers are PVG certified.
What do you do at Junior Church?
A full children’s programme has been planned for 2019 – 2020, (excluding school holidays.)
The Minister, Jack gives a multimedia Children’s Talk on a theme from the Bible each week during the first part of the Service and afterwards children and their Junior Church leader go to the small hall to enjoy a variety of age appropriate activities related to the Children’s Talk. These include themed games, quizzes, crafts, baking, music and drama.
At Christmas the leaders support the children to plan and give their own presentation of the Christmas story to the congregation.
We are happy to answer your questions – please contact the Junior Church leaders Claire, Dawn and Jenny or email email@example.com.
