Outreach is a registered care service that puts those we care for at the centre of all we do. You can tell us what you need, when and where, and we’ll make it happen. We can take you to appointments, social engagements, anywhere you need or want to go.
Who are we here for?
Anyone who would like help to get out and about, would love a bit of company, or has dementia and are still living at home, aged 50 plus.
Our Personal Care Services:
As a registered care service, our team will, of course, provide the best possible care. But we also match the right person to your interests as well as your care needs, to ensure you get the best companionship too. Sharing news over a coffee, or taking a trip to the beach or the gallery are just some of the activities we can do with you through our Good Company service. In fact, if you name it, we’ll arrange it.
The Good Visitor
If you can’t make it to see a loved one, we can do this for you.
Our hospital and care home visiting service means one of our team can visit and brighten their day.
Since our staff are qualified, we can also accompany on walks, or other activities to enjoy a change of scene.
Having the continuity of someone who knows exactly what you like as well as the reassurance of a familiar face – makes all the difference.
Rise and shine with our personal care and wake up service. We’ll help you get up, washed and dressed and ensure you have the right medication. We can stay for breakfast and a chin wag if you like. Whatever you need, we’re happy to help.
We can get you ready for bed and help with personal care and make sure you take the medication you need. But this evening service is as friendly as it is functional. We’ll have a chat and see you settled before we go.
Getting To Know You...
We meet with all potential clients at their home before arranging the service. This is an opportunity for us to understand your requirements, go through the details of how the service can support you and for us to answer any questions you have. You’re welcome to invite a relative or friend along to this chat. There is no obligation and no charge for this visit.
Here when you need us...
We don’t ask clients to commit to getting the service for any length of time- we can help long term or just as long as you need us. We can provide support for as little as one hour up to a few hours a couple of time a week, depending on what you need – and of course this can change over time as you need it to.
Our visits normally happen on weekdays between 9:00am and 5:00pm throughout the City of Edinburgh.
We charge an hourly rate. Payment can be made in a variety of ways. We invoice for the service at the end of each calendar month.
If you’re eligible for the Direct Payments scheme and/or Attendance Allowance, you can use these to pay towards Help at Home.
