Heads Up...
We know that life can be challenging and sometimes those challenges can seem relentless. You might feel that you are all on your own with your problems, or you might feel like you are in a rut and not able to cope for much longer, or only cope by doing the things that don’t actually help – like eating more, or drinking more, or maybe hiding away from people.
The good news is that you are not on your own and help is available - here at Health All Round
We will help you to decide the best way forward when you come in and register for our Heads Up service.
Who can benefit?
Anyone experiencing issues such as:
- Low mood/ Depression
- Anxiety & Panic
- Insomnia
- Anger & irritability
- Difficulty maintaining relationships
- Problems at work due to stress
- Signed off work with stress
Counselling...
This is an opportunity to talk about problems and issues that are troubling you.
Your counsellor can help you identify issues and find the best ways to tackle them. The aim is not to tell you what to do, or to offer a personal opinion, but to help you arrive at your own solutions and support you through this process.
Counselling is a one to one service to help you identify problematic issues and recognise your strengths and resources. This may include reflection on past events and your counsellor will support you through this process without judging you or telling you what you should or shouldn’t do.
Counselling can help you to:
- Identify problematic issues
- Deal with difficult feelings and develop strategies to reduce risk
- Identify and develop effective coping skills for everyday life
- Manage relationships with others
- Understand and accept yourself as you are
- Develop self – compassion
- Move forward and do the things you want to do in life
How do I access Head's Up services?
To register for any Heads Up service please ring Maysoon on 07849 136 944 or 0131 337 1376. You will be asked to complete an assessment of your needs and mental wellbeing. It usually takes about half an hour to register. Please ring at the following times:
Monday, 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Wednesday, 10:00am - 2:00pm
How much does it cost?
There is no cost for the Heads Up courses or workshops but donations are appreciated.
For counselling, ecotherapy, life coaching and hypnotherapy, the following charges apply:
- For people in receipt of benefits - No charge
- For those who are working part time £15.00 per session
- For those who are working full time £25.00 per session
- Fast track service £40.00 per session (limited availability)
